The SJ30-2 light jet is a high-performance, long-range, intercontinental twinjet business aircraft with a range of 4,630km (2,500 miles) and speeds of up to 890km/h (Mach 0.83). The new SJ30-2 business jet operates at altitudes up to 14,935m (49,000ft) and maintains a sea level pressure cabin to an altitude of 12,500m (41,000ft) he aircraft is of all-metal construction with a chemically milled fuselage skin.



The primary airframe structure is built at Aerostructures Corporation in Nashvillle, Tennessee, and transferred to Sino Swearingen. The cabin is pressurised to 12psi but has actually been tested to 31.4psi, a world record achieved during an FAA pressurisation ultimate load test. The 12psi cabin pressure, maintained at an altitude of 49,000ft, gives increased comfort for the passengers and crew. The cabin air conditioning system includes engine bleed air heating and a vapour cycle cooling system.



The main 5.4m? cabin can be configured to the customer's requirement but a typical cabin layout includes six passenger seats. The extra-wide, full-berthing seats can be fitted with telephone and entertainment systems. Work tables can be fitted with computer ports and 110V sockets and plugs. The aft-facing seats fully recline. The aircraft is powered by two Williams International FJ44-2A turbofan engines which are pod mounted on the sides of the rear section of the fuselage. The engines are rated at 10.23kN.



The fuel system has six fuel tanks holding 2,797 liters of fuel. The wing and the engine inlets are fitted with an engine bleed air anti-icing system. The SJ30-2 light jet is a high-performance, long-range, intercontinental twinjet business aircraft.

The Learjet 31A was announced in 1990 as a replacement for the Learjet 31. The 31A entered service in 1994 and the 200th aircraft was delivered in the year 2000. The 31A is a seven-passenger light jet which is fast (cruise speed 845km/h) but also carries low operating costs per nautical mile. The Learjet 31A routinely flies at altitudes between 45,000ft and 47,000ft.


The cabin has a floor level cabin width of 0.9m and can seat up to seven passengers. The cabin is fitted with a club-style three-seater divan and four Erda adjustable seats and folding tables. There is 1.13m? of baggage space and an external baggage locker is available which increases the total baggage capacity to 1.47m?. With full seating and maximum fuel capacity, the aircraft can take off from runways shorter than 1,067m (3,500ft) and can climb to 15,545m (51,000ft). The aircraft can turn through 180? in a turning radius of 11.9m.


The normal cruise speed is 845km/h and the maximum operating altitude is 51,000ft (15,545m). With a crew of two and four passengers, the aircraft's maximum range is 2,695km or 1,455nm.
